The paintings show seven moments of a performance in which a performer has worn the attributes of Eric. As in primitive-archaic cultures, where the witch doctor, who wears the mask, is freed from its role to become a bridge between humans and spirits of the world around him, so the performer loses its identity to assume the attitudes of this spirit. The paintings bring out this spiritual dimension through a painting where it is penetrated by the invisible visible.

I dipinti rappresentano i sette momenti di una performance in cui un performer ha indossato gli attributi di Eric. Come avviene nelle culture primitivo-arcaiche, dove lo stregone che indossa la maschera si libera dal suo ruolo terreno per diventare un tramite tra l’uomo e gli spiriti del mondo che lo circondano, così il performer perde la sua identità per assumere gli atteggiamenti di questo spirito. I dipinti mettono in risalto questa dimensione spirituale attraverso una pittura in cui il visibile è compenetrato dall’invisibile.
