The video draws the attention to a case whose protagonist is a famous painting by Caravaggio ended up in the middle of a real international yellow. The painting has recently returned to be talked about on the occasion of redelivery ceremony of a faithful copy of the original painting, stolen in 1969 and later destroyed, in the place where it was originally housed. The artist, through this work, wants to arouse different reflections, putting under discussion, first of all, the entire operation whereby has been trying to make the loss of the painting less painful. This process, while it restores the joy of admiring again the iconography of the Nativity to the visitors of San Lorenzo's Oratory in Palermo, on the other removes the drama of a murky affair fruit of a mentality which unfortunately we have not yet freed. With a provocative attitude, the artist reinterprets the lost work by Caravaggio, synthesizing the image, and puts it clandestinely inside the Sky TG24 service to offer to San Lorenzo's Oratory a new Nativity that in itself, however, retains the signs of history.
